  • 1. How much does it cost to hire Lauren Charlotte?

    As you can see from my “services” pages, I offer a wide range of options, all of which vary if price due to numerous variables. The quickest and easiest way to get an accurate quote is to contact me on info@laurencharlotteviolin.com with your venue address, event date, and some information on the type of performance required.

  • 2. Do you require a deposit?

    Yes, in order to secure your date I would require a 50% deposit.

  • 3. Are all of your performances with backing track?

    Yes – unless asked to play without! What you hear on my site is what you get, I perform all of my tracks with high quality backing tracks and also have the option of live band if you prefer.

  • 4. Can you perform outdoors?

    Yes, as long as there is access to mains electricity and the space is sheltered from rain, direct sunlight and wind. I can also provide a wireless amp for outdoor events of up to 100 guests, meaning you don’t need to worry about finding a power source. The temperature needs to be above 16 degrees.

  • 5. Can you provide a PA system?

    Yes, I use a top of the range Bose L1S system suitable for background music for up to 500 guests, or show performances of up to 200 guests. Again, the type of performance required will depend on what type of system is required so it’s best to discuss this with me directly to ensure the right type of PA is used for your booking.

  • 6. Can you move around the room while playing?

    Yes – as long as there is a suitable PA system in place.

  • 7. Can I see Lauren play live prior to booking?

    Unfortunately as most of my performances are for private events I cannot obtain access for my future clients, as they may not be best please if I brought unexpected guests! I have years of experience performing at intimate weddings right through to arena shows and so I can assure you that you can book in confidence. Musicians who regularly play publicly, for example at pubs are probably not the type you would hire for an important private party or event, as pubs don’t pay the money required for top quality entertainment.   • 8. Will you travel abroad for events?

    Yes! I regularly travel overseas for events and will travel globally. For some events further afield I will need to travel with a tour manager/ sound technician to ensure there are no language or technical issues on the day.

  • 9. How far in advance should I book?

    I take bookings up to 1 year in advance, and in some exceptional cases up to 2 years in advance so it’s best to get in touch as soon as possible as my diary fills up fast!

  • 10. I can’t get in touch with you by phone, what should I do?

    Often (at least once a month) I am working overseas, and so I am regularly on an airplane, or on a cruise ship with no phone signal. Sometimes if I’m on a ship at the time, I may not have access to my phone for as many as 6 consecutive days. I’m not ignoring you; I just don’t have any phone signal so it’s always best to email me as I can pick up emails in all corners of the world!
